I'd like to share a little more about my background in language teaching and my experience with the Lexical Approach.
I've been passionate about language teaching since a young age and spent over a decade working as a teacher trainer. During this time, I was responsible for training other language teachers on the Lexical Approach - an approach that emphasizes the importance of learning vocabulary in chunks rather than individual words. The Lexical Approach resonated deeply with me and has become a cornerstone of my language-learning philosophy.
I used several books as references, but The Lexical Approach, Implementing the Lexical Approach, and Teaching Collocation, all written by Michael Lewis, were my language "bibles".
These books were instrumental in shaping my understanding of the Lexical Approach and how it could be applied not only to teaching but also to language self-learning.
As a language enthusiast, I'm also constantly learning new languages. In addition to my native Portuguese and fluent English and Spanish, I'm currently using the Lexical Approach to study Swedish and Dutch. This approach has proven to be incredibly effective in making language learning faster and easier to put into practice.
As I continue my language-learning journey, I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with others who are also studying Swedish as a second language. I hope that through my website and resources, I can help others achieve their goals and experience the joy of learning a new language.
